Vehicle Requirements
To ensure that passengers receive the first-class ground transportation service they expect, we require certain vehicle standards to be met before approval.
- Model year 2018 or newer.
- No exterior dents, scratches, cracks, or other visible blemishes.
- No broken components, engine troubles, or performance issues
- Clean, presentable interior (no seat rips, dirty carpets, etc.)
- Comfortable and 100% smoke-free passenger environment
Vehicle Types
All NYBLACKCAR vehicles, regardless of make, model, and type, must meet the vehicle approval requirements outlined above.
Sedans
Black sedans from 2017 or later are qualified to handle sedan trip requests.

- BMW 5 eries
- Tesla Y -S -X Models.
- Acura RDX -MDX
Small SUVs
Small SUVs with 3rd-row seating can book small SUV rides and sedan trips.
- Lincoln Aviator
- Lexus GX
- Infiniti QX Series
- Audi Q7
- Toyota Highlander
- Honda Pilot
- Jeep Grand Wagoneer
Luxury SUVs
Qualified Luxury SUVs are also eligible to book small SUV and sedan trips.

- GMC Yukon Denali
Vehicle Documents
- NYS Insurance Certificate - Insurance Card
- Liability Insurance ($100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence)
- NY State Registration Document
- For Hire Vehicle License and TLC Windshield Sticker
- Vehicle Inspection Report
- Photo of Vehicle with TLC Plates
Driver Documents
- New York State Driver Class E License
- TLC For-Hire Vehicle Driver License
- Chauffeur Profile Picture
- Full Body Image of Chauffeur in Professional Attire
